# What is Validate-only deployment?

> A validate-only deployment asks Salesforce to process a deployment against the target org, including running the required Apex tests, and report any errors, without saving anything. It is the most reliable way to know a change will deploy before the moment it matters.

Also called: validation deployment, dry-run deployment.

## Why it matters

Errors found by validation are real errors from the real org, not predictions, so validating before approval removes most deploy-day surprises.

## In SyncOnAI 360

Every SyncOnAI 360 proposal is validated against its target org after its named checks and before anyone approves it.
