What is Change freeze window?
A period when deploys to production are blocked

Definition
A change freeze window is a period during which production deployments are not allowed, such as quarter end, a major launch or a client's busy season. Freezes reduce risk when the business can least afford an incident.

A freeze only works if the deploy path enforces it; a calendar invite does not stop a deploy.
