What is Salesforce deployment?
Moving metadata changes into an org
Definition
A Salesforce deployment moves metadata, such as fields, Flows, Apex and permission changes, into a target org. Deployments to production run Apex tests when the change includes code, and can be validated first without saving. A failed deployment changes nothing in the target org.
01Why it matters
Salesforce deployment in practice
Most production incidents on Salesforce follow a deployment: a dependency was missed, data was discarded by a narrowed field, an access change went unnoticed, or test coverage fell short at the last moment.

How it shows up in the product
In SyncOnAI 360 every deployment starts as a proposal with six named checks and a validation against the org; production needs approval from someone other than the author; and every deploy leaves a receipt with rollback.
